Skype Enabled USB Phones "Skype enabled" Phones are defined by us as phones that do not require you to interact with your computer to use it. The phone should allow you to make and receive Skype, SkypeOut and SkypeIn calls through the phone interface. They can be USB connected or any other method like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, etc. The main thing is they are very independent of the computer, except that they must connect to your computer.
DualPhone Skype enabled USB PhoneThe DualPhone Skype enabled USB Phone is a Cordless phone that is fully Skype functional. You can make and receive Skype, SkypeOut and SkypeIn calls from anywhere in the house. You can even see your Skype contact names on the phones screen. This phone plugs BOTH into your PC for Skype and your Landline or VoIP provider RJ11 port. So you can make and receive BOTH Skype and telephone calls on the same device.

Pros:
Cons:
* Special note: This is the first good fully functional Skype enabled USB Phone we have tested. The only thing missing is a speaker phone option like my AT&T/ VTech Cordless phone has to allow hands free operation. Additional extensions will be available later this year so you can place them anywhere in your home and answer the calls. Linksys CIT 200 Cordless Internet Telephone
The Linksys CIT 200 is a USB Phone that is cordless and Skype enabled. This is a good option for a cordless device for Skype so you can be anywhere in your home. I would also recommend this device for your laptop bag as a cordless travel option as it is the smallest of any cordless Skype phones currently available short of a Pocket PC with WiFi that runs Skype.
Pros:
Cons:
* Special note: Scrolling through my contacts was far too slow for my taste and for $99 US, I would spend an additional $40 US and get the DualPhone so that you could also use it for your landline telephone needs. For home or office I would recommend the DualPhone or the VoSky IPW with a Cordless phone. If you are looking for a cordless phone for your laptop bag, then this might be a good option as it has a smaller base to take up less room in your laptop bag. For a nice detailed review see the following article: NetGear Skype Wi-Fi Phone
The NetGear Skype Wi-Fi phone is the first of its ind and VERY cool. The number one question I get asked is "How do I use Skype with my computer off.... this phone is it! This phone does not have a way to use Wi-Fi HotSpots that you must log on to with a username and password, so only open Wi-Fi networks may be used. This device is pricey and you may want to look into a Pocket PC with Wi-Fi for the $250 this device costs.
Pros:
Cons:
* Special Note: For the cost of this device you can spend a little more and get a Pocket PC Smart Phone or PDA that can run Skype. So take a look at a Pocket PC and Smartphones like my PPC 6700 before you get this device. Sprint or Verizon - 6700 PPC Smartphone/PDA
I have a Verizon XV6700 Windows Mobile 2005 Pocket PC Smart Phone PDA and it has built-in Wi-Fi and can run Skype. Many Windows Mobile Smartphones can run Skype if they have the proper processor and so a Skype enabled phone. I really like having a Cell phone that also does Wi-Fi and Skype so I can use it anywhere I go and have the choice of regular cell or Skype. This device represents any Windows Mobile 2005 Pocket PC Smartphone with WiFi built-in.

Cons:
* Special Note: There are many Pocket PC devices and Smartphones that have Wi-Fi and can run the Pocket PC version of Skype. So check the Skype site for the latest requirements and do your homework to see if Skype will work and if the Pocket PC or Windows Mobile device can take a headset or has a speakerphone and possibly a Bluetooth headset. Air2U Bluetooth Skype Phone
If you think Bluetooth is something you want in a phone, then Air2U has a Skype phone for you. Be aware that Bluetooth only works between 100-300 feet or 30-100 meters with no obstruction. So though you are free from your computer, you still need to stay close.
SkypeTips rates this a - 123345 (Windows only) Cons:
* Special Note: Bluetooth has both range and quality issues. You are also still tied to a computer. If you want freedom to roam you might consider a Skype gateway and a cordless phone combination over this type of Skype phone.
